Claudia Elena Țuclea

Claudia-Elena Tuclea (Țuclea) is a professor at the Department of Tourism and Geography, Faculty of Business and Tourism, Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Business Administration from the same university, receiving her PhD in April 2004. Her research and teaching interests include business administration, strategic management, human resource management, consumer behavior, and organizational behavior. She has been involved in research projects and is the author or co-author of several handbooks and articles.

Diana-Maria Vrânceanu

Diana-Maria Vrânceanu is a professor, Ph.D. at the Faculty of Marketing, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Her research interests focus on areas such as: pricing strategies, behavioral pricing, marketing ethics, tourist behavior, corporate social responsibility, social media marketing, consumer behavior. She teaches courses on Marketing, International marketing research, Pricing strategies, Advanced research techniques, Qualitative research. In 2007 she was visiting scholar at Robins School of Business, the University of Richmond (USA). Among the journals she has published research articles are: Journal of Business Research, Transformations in Business and Economics, Amfiteatru Economic, Management&Marketing, Central European Business Review, Economic Computation and Economic Cybernetics Studies and Research, Sustainability, Systems.

Andreea Fortuna Șchiopu 

Andreea Fortuna Schiopu (Șchiopu) is a  professor of business communication, business administration, and hospitality and tourism management at Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She has an MBA degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (USA). She has published articles in Journal of Business Research, Telematics and Informatics, Technology in Society, Journal of International Marketing, and European Journal of Marketing, among others. Her interests include researching consumer behavior, communications and marketing, emotions, and emotional labor. Her latest works study tourists’ behavior in relation to technology use. Specifically, her research has tackled the influence of new technologies on the tourism consumption behavior of Millennials and Centennials or the use of VR in tourism.

Daniel Bulin

Daniel Bulin is a lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Tourism of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (BUES) and Senior Researcher II at the Institute of World Economy (IWE) of the Romanian Academy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and two Master's degrees — in Tourism Business Administration and in Communication in Education and Research for Business — from the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He obtained his PhD in Economics – Business Administration in 2013 and then completed a postdoctoral research programme in Economics (2014–2015). During this time, he also participated in an academic mobility at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Spain and completed a postgraduate programme in Strategic Hospitality Management (École Hôtelière de Lausanne and Bucharest University of Economic Studies). His academic activity includes publications in peer-reviewed journals (WoS and BDI), participation and organisation of international conferences (also as keynote speaker) and involvement in international research projects. He is a reviewer for ISI-indexed journals and a member of the editorial/advisory boards of ISI (ESCI) and BDI journals. He is also co-coordinator of an annual volume, World Economic Studies (IWE), a traditional and unique publication in the Romanian publishing landscape. His research interests focus on sustainable development and the tourism industry, the competitiveness of the service sector, the dynamics of the global economy, business ethics, business economics, new trends in the economy and the impact of global trends on economic and social structures. His work combines theoretical approaches with practical relevance for economic policy and institutional strategies.
Maria Cristina Iorgulescu

Maria Cristina Iorgulescu is a university lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Geography, Faculty of Business and Tourism at Bucharest University of Economic Studies and has 13 years of teaching experience. Her PhD thesis on promoting creativity and innovation in the Romanian hotel industry helped her to significantly develop her skills in incorporating the business environment into academic studies with the aim of developing proposals to improve the functioning and performance in a specific business sector. Currently, her research and teaching activities are mainly focused on topics such as stimulating innovation, human resources and developing sustainable management in the tourism industry. The research competencies are evident in the publication activity realized through the dissemination of 33 articles (6 articles indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge, 14 articles published in journals indexed in the recognized IDB, 13 articles published in conference proceedings indexed in ISI Proceedings). She has been an editor of the CACTUS – Tourism Journal for research, education, culture and soul since 2016.

Alexandru Gavriș 

Alexandru Gavriș teaches at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Department of Tourism and Geography. As a lecturer he teaches Tourism Geography, Geopolitics, and Academic Writing among others. His research covers methodologies in various contexts like vulnerability assesment, geography of tourism, political geography and critical geography.

Luciana-Floriana Poenaru

Luciana-Floriana Poenaru (Holostencu) is an assistant professor in the Tourism and Geography Department within the Business and Tourism Faculty at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She has been performing both didactic and research activities, specializing in business administration, tourism, services economy, and business ethics. Among the journals she has published research articles in are Amfiteatru Economic and Sustainability.

Gabriela Cecilia Stănciulescu (1947-2023)

Professor Gabriela Stănciulescu's scientific activity was very complex and varied and was expressed in numerous books, studies, university courses, scientific articles, national and international research funding contracts. She has been awarded several prizes for her scientific research activities, such as: Nicolae Georgescu Roegen Diploma for Research, ASE Bucharest - 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004; National Prize "Encyclopedia of the Year 2003", awarded by the General Association of Economists of Romania, for the work "Marketing Dictionary, Economic Publishing House, Bucharest, 2003; Diploma OPERA OMNIA, ASE Bucharest, 2005; The national prize "Virgil Madgearu", awarded by the Romanian Academy for the book "Management of tourism operations", 2005; The national prize, awarded by the "Association of Tourism Journalists and Writers" for the work "Management of operations in event tourism", 2011; Diploma "College Merit Virgil Madgearu", ASE Bucharest, 2023.
